Pete Reina Mendez a Chino Native born on November 30 1937 in San Bernardino Ca. passed away at his home on Feb 9 2014. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Helen Mendez, and children Mellesia & Tim Lee, Gabriel & Tanya Mendez, Mellani & Joe Sanchez and 2 children from a previous marriage Pete Mendez Jr. & Carmen Medina. He is also a grandfather of 19 and great grandfather of 10.He has 2 surviving siblings Betty Lozano & Robert Mendez. Pete has lived in Chino all of his 76 years of life, while working as a master mechanic retiring from MK SMITH Chino CA. He was a hard working man dedicated to making his wife and family happy. Many family trips were taken to Mt. Lakes where he love spending time there. Anyone who knew him was touched by his funny, caring yet quiet personality. He began his battle with Cancer November 2012 and continued to be the caring funny, joking man till his final days with his family. He will forever be remembered by his family as our hero.
