Obituary

Nabih Hamwi was born in Damascus Syria July 2, 1935. His first time visit to the U.S was back in 1986, and shortly after he became a citizen following his 1st son Chaker (Charles) Hamwi who was the first immigrant of the family to United States Feb. 15 1979. Nabih was 55 years old when he lost his 1st kidney during a short visit to Syria. It was unexpected incident and ever since, his health started desecrating. Nabih became a victim of chronic, renal, and heart frailer soon after, which was the primarily cause of his death February 13, 2012. His wife Safieh Daas, and his children Charles, Nadia, Nader, Mario, Samir, Amaer, and Bruce are in Southern California, Rancho Cucamonga area. His mother Isaf Tello, his Father Abdo, and his older brother Said are deceased. The two brothers Nazir, Walid and the sister Ghalia are in Syria along with their families, children, and grand children. Nabih had ten grand children, Nadia, Nader, Samer and kinana (children of charles) Zanah and Alex (children of Nadia) Noura (daughter of Nader), Chady, Chana, and Adam (children of Mario). He was a very cheering and lovable person, has sense of humor, was very protective and a proactive to help anyone at anytime. He loved cooking and enjoyed social sharing and gathering. Occasionally, he would create laughter whenever his short-temper won't get in the way, but it won't take long before you see his full cheerfull personality back again. He loved traveling, and he enjoyed long train rides, or even watching them to go by.. He will not only be missed by us all, but he will remain in our thoughts, heart, and our mind forever!!
