After a protracted battle with cancer, Melissa Sirlopu entered heaven on September 3, 2022, at the age of 43. She was born on June 21, 1979, in Woodbury, NJ. She grew up in a large, loving family; the oldest of 3 children to Chris and Maryann Ortholf.

Melissa was a phenomenal homemaker and co-owner of Code Ninjas in Chino Hills, dedicated to providing after school services for the youth in Chino Valley. Melissa was an incredibly determined and detail-oriented person with a passion for designing and creating custom crafts. When diagnosed with cancer in 2020, she remained committed to keeping a great balance at home and in her will to fight her illness. She never stopped dreaming to become a Registered Nurse; she proudly received her A.A.S degree in 2021 from Mt. San Antonio College getting her one step closer to achieving her dream while fighting cancer. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final weeks.

Melissa is survived by her loving husband Gabriel Sirlopu;

her daughters, Arabella, Eliana, and Olivia, as well as her siblings, Tara and Christian Ortholf.
