Maria Del Carmen Gomez, or as she preferred to be called just 'Carmen', went home to Jesus on December 5th, 2023 at the age of 74 after a valiant battle with liver cancer.

Carmen was born on September 2nd, 1949 in Mexico City, Mexico to her parents Francisco Gomez and Theresa Alonso. All her life she advocated for kids and the youth, and her faith kept her motivated.

Carmen was predeceased by her parents, her sister Remedios, and her 2 brothers. She is survived by her 5 sisters: Yolanda, Rebecca, Rosario, Alicia, and Lilia. Her 4 children: Monica, Mike, Fernando, and Carlos. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren.
